Topiary Cones

Cones are available in Box (Buxus sempervirens), Holly (Ilex) and English Yew (Taxus baccata). They come in various sizes and are measured in terms of height and width of base. Cones have rounded sides resembling an upside down ice cream cornet.

The largest Box cone available in the nursery is approximately 180cm tall with a width of 80-90cm at the base. Larger specimens are available but they have to be sourced and ordered specially. The smallest cone can be 40cm high with a 10cm width at the base.

English Yew cones are available up to 3 metres high in the nursery and larger cones can be sourced on request.

Cones and pyramids are mainly used in the garden to give the structure and architectural shape to complement low level planting. They can be placed in tight corners and used to hide unsightly areas of the garden. They are particularly effective placed in a line either side of a pathway or driveway, giving an impressive look to the front of your house.

Alternatively, they also look beautiful in planters on your patio or outside your front door.
